For years, improving communication with citizens has been a key objective for the Tolentino municipal administration. Officials believe strengthening existing channels and embracing new technologies are crucial for fostering a more transparent and responsive government. The WhatsApp platform, officially sanctioned by the municipal council, will be managed by the Municipality’s Press Office. Following a trial phase, the channel will officially go live on Monday, November 10, 2025. How the Channel Will Function
Within the WhatsApp app, users simply need to access the “Updates” section to view and follow the Municipality of Tolentino’s official channel. Subscribers will receive timely notifications regarding events, emergencies, traffic updates, and other essential public service announcements. Importantly, the service is designed for one-way communication; users will receive information but will not be able to send messages directly through the channel.
The initiative was unveiled during a press conference led by Mayor Mauro Sclavi, Councilor Diego Aloisi, and Councilor Fabio Montemarani. “A more direct and immediate relationship with the local community is paramount,” stated a senior official during the conference.
