Beloved Sligo Man, Tommy, Passes Away at 95

A life well-lived has come to a peaceful close with the passing of Tommy, aged 95, in Co. Sligo, Ireland. He died in the exceptional care of Baileys Nursing Home in Tubbercurry, surrounded by his devoted family.
Tommy’s passing marks the end of an era for the communities of Rinbane, Ballinacarrow, and Ballymote, where he was a cherished figure. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A Life Remembered
Born and raised in the Sligo region, Tommy lived a full and impactful life, leaving behind a legacy of love and connection. He was predeceased by his sister, Bridget White, and brother-in-law, Paddy White. His loss will be deeply felt by his loving wife, Belinda, his children Mary, Martin, and Tommy, as well as his nieces Julie, Hilary, Carmel, and Anne, along with a wide circle of extended family, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements and Livestream Details
The family has announced that Tommy will be reposing at the Morahan Funeral Home in Tubbercurry (F91 DV50) this Sunday evening, beginning at 5:00 PM. A removal service will take place at 6:45 PM, with arrival at The Church of The Sacred Heart Mullinabreena anticipated for 7:30 PM.
The Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, December 8th, at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral procession to Kilvarnet cemetery. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be livestreamed on the Achonry Mullinabreena Facebook page, allowing friends and family to participate remotely.
