The distances of these races range between 1,200 and 2,400 meters, and the Horse Racing Club, the organizer of the tournament, has allocated the first half for novice mares – a local production of 4 years old – with 18 participants competing.
In the second round, which is intended for beginner horses – local production of 3 years old – the number of competitors will increase to 20 competitors. Similar to the first, novice mares of local production will compete in the third round, but at the age of 3 years and with 20 participants.
And the club set the age in the fourth round, which the novice horses – local production – compete with from 4 to 5 years. The number of participants reaches 20, at a distance of 2000 meters.
And he competes for the fifth round, open-ended – 3 years old – trained riders at a parity of 0-80 without using a whip. The distance is limited to 1200 meters, and the number of participants is 15.
At the same distance, the sixth game is for winning horses from 0-2 wins, aged 4 years and over. 18 participants are racing to win it.
The distance extends in the seventh round, open for grades – 4 years and over – to 2400 meters. The number of participants reaches 20.
The club allocated the eighth round, which extends for 2,000 meters, to non-winning horses in the 2022-2023 season. The round is open for Arabic grades 4 years and over, and the number of participants is 20.
The ninth round, which is open to grades – a 3-year production – takes place on the Suleiman Al-Hassan Appreciation Award, and its distance is 1800 meters, and 15 participants compete for it.
In the tenth race, which extends to 2000 meters, novice horses that did not win in the same season compete. The club set the age in this round, which witnesses 20 participants, to 3 years.
And the first day concludes with its most prominent races, which is the 2000 Open Championship, aged 3 years. The number of participants is 13, while its distance is set at 1,600 meters. The winner of this round will receive 150,000 riyals, representing half of his prize pool.
On the second day, of the Founder’s Cup, the same field will host 11 rounds on Saturday evening, including the tenth and eleventh rounds, which determine the identity of the winners of the King Abdulaziz Cup, dubbed the “Crown of Championships.”
