King Nyabongo Orders November 12 Accountability Deadline at Mucwa Headquarters

The King of Tooro issued a strict reporting directive to Acting Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire, his cabinet, and all kingdom departments during his first Supreme Council meeting since his coronation. Meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Mucwa Kingdom headquarters in Fort Portal City, Omukama Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I demanded a full accounting of projects implemented during the reign of his predecessor, the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

The monarch’s coronation took place on September 29, 2026. Setting a deadline of November 12, 2026, for the submission of reports, the king stated that the acting Prime Minister’s appointment was intended to ensure continuity of development projects.

That is why I appointed Calvin Armstrong as acting Prime Minister, to help manage the transition period. His appointment was not meant to start a new administration during this period. Now, I want a report from the acting Prime Minister detailing what has been done and what has not been done.

Supreme Council Reviews The Schedule And Seven-Member Committee

The verification process follows a strict multi-step calendar overseen by the Tooro Kingdom Supreme Council, also known as the Orukurato. Once the acting prime minister submits the documentation by November 12, the Supreme Council will take seven days to analyze the findings. Under the schedule outlined by the monarch, the council’s recommendations must reach his office by November 19.

The royal office then holds a seven-day review window before the full council reconvenes on November 27, 2026, where the Omukama will communicate his official response and set the future course of action.
