On December 9, 2025, at around 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a call at a residence near St. Clair Avenue West and Rushton Road,just west of Christie Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased woman inside an apartment unit. An autopsy later steadfast the death to be a homicide.

Ashton Drysdale,38,of Toronto,was arrested on January 24 following the execution of a criminal Code search warrant. He is scheduled to appear in bail court. A second Criminal Code search warrant was later executed,leading to the arrest of Kaream Hines,also 38,of Toronto,on January 25. Hines is also scheduled to appear in bail court.
Police have identified the victim as Jolan Kun, 79, of Toronto. The charges against both men have not been proven in court.
