Kobi Refuah (Shahar Gross)
Ahead of the official signing: Kobi Refuah arrived today (Sunday) at the Wolfson complex to sign the contract as the next coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv, shortly after the announcement of the dismissal of Nir Klinger.
Refuah, 47, will reach his third term at Hapoel Tel Aviv. In October 2017 he was first appointed coach of the team after being relegated to the National League and he led it to the Premier League, but was sacked shortly afterwards following a bad start to the Premier League season. Despite this, Re-Medicine was appointed team coach just two months later. At the end of that season he was fired from the Reds following disagreements between him and the management.
In October 2019, Refuah signed as the municipal coach of Kiryat Shmona and managed to keep her in the league. His contract was extended at the end of that season, but at the end of 2020/21, precisely after leading the team to the top playoffs, he chose to leave.
On the professional side, Medicine will concentrate its efforts on improving positions in the table after being relegated from the State Cup. Hapoel Tel Aviv is in seventh place after 13 rounds with 17 points, one point below the place that leads to the top playoff, but after seven games without a win in all settings.
