Various drinks from a company Cola drink are under scrutiny, after around 45 people intoxicated after consuming them. According to an analysis carried out on them, they found remains of detergent or degreaser. However, there is at least one person in critical condition due to burn in the esophagus.

What was found in cola drinks?
According to an analysis by the Center for Forensic Examinations and Expertise of the Ministry of the Interior, in a sample that was carried out, they were found alkaline aqueous solutions (pH=13.6)values that correspond to detergents or degreasersin flavored mineral water drinksas well as in others that belong to a company Cola drink.
“From the established chemical composition it can be concluded that it is a detergent and/or degreaser. In addition, 20 undisputed glass bottles of the same drink were found, received in their original packaging, containing transparent liquids with a pH of 3.5, which corresponds to the pH values of this type of drinks,” they explained.
Croatian health authorities reported that so far, 45 people required medical attention in different parts of the cities. At least four of them present damage to the mucous membranewhich protects the mouth, lungs and stomach.

Two people were hospitalized, but only a 19-year-old young man from the city of Rijeka, Croatia, is in critical condition due to chemical injury to the esophagus after taking one mineral drink with flavoring.
