Colgate Track adn Field Teams Achieve personal Bests at Dr. Sander Scorcher

Teh Colgate Raiders track and field teams competed at the dr. Sander Scorcher meet hosted by Columbia University Friday and Saturday, achieving numerous personal records.
Early Season Progress Praised
Coaches praised the meet as a positive early-season step, noting progress across both teams and a special atmosphere with alumni and families present.
Women’s Team Highlights
Claire Gillis placed seventh in the 200m (25.04). Ashley Crane finished 19th in the 800m and 20th in the mile. Julianna Hallyburton was ninth in the pole vault (3.25m).
Men’s Team Shines in Multiple Events
Sammy Heaven finished eighth in the 400m (51.07). Andrew McGraw won the 3000m (8:32.86), followed closely by John Griffith (8:32.92).
Record-Breaking Performance in Pole Vault
Samuel Epstein broke the school record in the pole vault (4.85m).Joel Douzanis placed 22nd in the shot put (14.15m).
Looking Ahead
– colgate will compete at the Cornell Invite in Ithaca,New York,on January 31st.
