Troy’s statement in Parliament was released by the Joint Minister of Communications. Airtel has topped the list of companies receiving the most complaints from customers throughout 2021, according to a report by Troy. Airtel alone received 16,111 complaints in 2021.
Vodafone Idea is at the 2nd position and Reliance Jio is at the 3rd position. There were 14,487 complaints against Vodafone Idea and 7,341 complaints against Reliance Jio in 2021. Of Vodafone Idea’s 14,487 complaints, 9,186 complaints were received from Idea customers and 5,301 from Vodafone customers.
According to Troy, 732 complaints were registered against MTNL and 2,913 against BSNL. These are all complaints that came directly to Troy. Although Troy does not normally resolve complaints from individuals, it has been reported that all complaints from individuals in 2021 have been reported to the relevant telecom companies and action has been taken.
Based on the information released by the Associate Minister in Parliament, customers can definitely lodge complaints about their telecom company with Troy. It has since been reported that Troy can also appeal to the telecom companies concerned if they do not take appropriate action on the complaints.
