If you fly to Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi with children, you can discover a lot there – but parents should keep the time of year in mind.
If you are flying from Germany on holiday to Asia, Dubai and Doha are halfway there. And if you want to avoid starting your vacation with a long-haul flight, which can be tiring with children, you could consider getting off at one of these two major hubs in the Gulf. Not just to change planes, but to make a real stopover – to slowly acclimatize to different climates and time zones. And what do you do with the children on the golf course?
To the beach in winter
That depends on the time of year. In the European winter months, when it is pleasantly warm in the Gulf but not so hot, you are well advised to spend time outdoors and discover a habitat that, from a child’s perspective, probably looks like a large sandbox. Bucket, shovel, beach – making small children happy should be quite easy. In Dubai and Doha, many hotels have private beaches equipped with parasols and often freshwater pools. Dubai also offers a few beautiful public beaches that are free and women can access in both bikinis and burkinis.
