Love—and apparently, really good bread—is making Travis Kelce pack on the pounds. The 36-year-old football star shared the amusing revelation on a recent episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, explaining that his weight has increased due to indulging in his fiancée Taylor Swift’s homemade sourdough.
A Chair-Breaking Confession
“Hi, I’m Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce’s brother-in-law,” Kelce began on the podcast, as captured in a clip shared to Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 5. “And I’m not gonna lie, I broke Taylor’s chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”
Despite the furniture casualty, Kelce joked that Swift’s baking promotes “good gut health.” Kylie Kelce responded with laughter, declaring it “true love.”
Sourdough Obsession
Swift’s passion for baking, particularly sourdough, is no secret. Last year, she described being “very deep in a sourdough obsession.” In early January, the 14-time Grammy winner extended her baking spree by gifting homemade sourdough loaves to a group of celebrity friends, including Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, as well as Sombr.
The couple’s baking banter extends beyond the kitchen. During an August 2025 appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Swift playfully described her hobbies as “granny s—,” adding that she experiences “a different baking obsession every six months.” Travis responded with a heartfelt, “I am the luckiest man in the world.”

Swift confessed on the podcast, “The sourdough’s taken over my life in a huge way. I’m really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now,” adding that her creations extend beyond the classic loaf to include blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, and cinnamon raisin varieties.
Wedding Plans and Brews
The couple’s engagement, announced via Instagram, adds another sweet layer to their already captivating story. While Swift handles the baked goods, Kelce has promised to take care of the beverages for the upcoming nuptials, ensuring a plentiful supply of beer from Garage Beer, the company he co-owns with his brother, Jason.
When asked about the beer quantity, Kelce quipped to TMZ on Wednesday, Feb. 4, “Man, I can’t even count that high.”
