Trump Dismisses Newly Released Epstein Emails as a “Hoax”
Newly revealed correspondence raises further questions about the former president’s relationship with the convicted sex offender.
Former President Donald Trump has vehemently dismissed recently released emails linked to Jeffrey Epstein as a politically motivated “hoax” orchestrated by House Democrats. The effort, he claims, is a deliberate attempt to divert attention from perceived failures of the current administration.
“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. “Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap… There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else.”
The controversy stems from emails released by House Democrats on Wednesday, revealing Epstein’s assessment of Trump as “the dog that hasn’t barked” in a message to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate and convicted accomplice. Another email, addressed to journalist Michael Wolff, allegedly contains Epstein’s assertion that Trump “knew about the girls.” These communications follow the surfacing of an alleged letter purportedly penned by Trump to Epstein, featuring a doodle of a naked woman and a statement that the two shared “certain things in common.” Trump has denied authorship of the letter.
“I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” Trump told the Wall Street Journal. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”
Amidst the renewed scrutiny, Trump simultaneously urged fellow Republicans to prioritize the resolution of the ongoing federal government shutdown. “Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!” he stated on Wednesday.
A White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, defended the former president, asserting that Trump “did nothing wrong.” According to Leavitt, Trump’s connection to Epstein was merely a matter of shared geography. “What President Trump has always said is that he was from Palm Beach, and so was Jeffrey Epstein,” she explained. “He was a member at Mar-a-Lago until President Trump kicked him out, because Jeffrey Epstein was a pedophile and he was a creep.”

The release of these emails adds another layer to the long-standing questions surrounding Trump’s relationship with Epstein, a figure whose name remains synonymous with sex trafficking and abuse. The unfolding situation continues to fuel debate and demands for further investigation into the extent of any connections between the former president and the disgraced financier.
