Donald Trump was indicted on Tuesday for his attempts to reverse the result of the 2020 presidential election, the most serious charge against the ex-president who has already been criminally prosecuted. The big favorite in the Republican primaries for the 2024 election is charged with “conspiracy against the American state”, obstructing official process and violating electoral rights after an investigation supervised by special prosecutor Jack Smith.
“Despite his defeat, the accused was determined to stay in power.
