I talk a lot and Ly “brows” the story
– Trung’s “big” role of Ly in “Unique” is being loved by the audience. This role seems to fit very well with his personality color in real life?
-Actually, Ly in the movie is very gossipy, while in real life I only gossip. In Doc Dao, the other characters all have many feelings, tensions, and pains. Ly is actually one of the characters that ensures entertainment and reduces tension in the film’s criminal theme.
In addition, Ly is also a narrative character, necessary for the structure of the film. Regarding character creation, Trung Ruoi I asked the director to let the character have really wide eyes, meaning he blinks, not a drunk person like everyone initially imagined.
Trung Ruoi plays the “big” Ly – a information seller in the movie “Unique”.
– In the role of “Too” Ly, were the passages exported into poetry by Trung himself?
-The first scene of Ly “suddenly” appears in the movie when he meets “reckless” Khuong. After reading the script, I came up with a rhyme to describe the character Khuong, which the director really liked. From there, they asked for the best part to bring rhyme, poetry, and rhyme into the film. That gradually formed Ly’s “exporting writing and poetry” personality. Actually, it’s difficult to find verses and rhymes that describe the original script. I have to think a lot to find concise verses and rhymes.
One day I saw my wife lying down watching it and giggling
– The audience quite likes Ly “too”, how do you feel?
-I’m very happy because I actually put in a lot of effort compared to a short role. When people spread some segments and lines of Ly’s character on social networking platforms, I also felt happy. One day I saw my wife lying down watching a movie and giggling.
During filming, when I went to charity work or worked in the highlands, I saw people recognize me and ask if I was an undercover police officer. I’m very happy that the film has “made its way” to remote areas and is known to everyone.
Trung Ruoi impresses with his colorful, personality supporting role.
– In “Unique” there is a scene where Ly literally sells himself to get information. Can you share the behind the scenes of that funny scene?
– When filming this scene, from the cameraman to the director and everyone in the crew, it was funny. We just thought about the script and found it funny. When acting, everything is normal, nothing too much, but every time we shoot it, it’s funny because Ly’s story and situation are “exciting”.
To film this scene, the cameraman had to carry the camera on his shoulder. He was so funny that he had to ask to stop because the phone was shaking. By the time filming ended, the whole group of us watching it still found it funny.
The audience made me no longer feel self-conscious about being ugly
– The audience commented that Trung Ruoi is not beautiful but has charm. Now do you feel that you have achieved your initial expectations when working as an artist?
– It’s the audience who does it Actor Trung Ruoi I’m no longer self-conscious anymore. Before, I found my brothers of the same age to be beautiful while I was a bit different from them. Nowadays, it’s the audience that makes me forget that. I think each person has their own beauty. At some age, beauty or ugliness is no longer important.
With art, everyone wants to be famous when they first enter the profession. At first, I was a bit confused but the more I did it, the more addicted I became whether I was famous or not. Up to now, I am quite satisfied that my colleagues know me, I have a lot of work to do. I also don’t want to stop in one field so I want to learn more to work in cinema, television, sitcoms, stage performances…
Family is Trung Ruoi’s strong support.
– Trung Ruoi doesn’t want to stop in one field. Is knowing as much as possible the direction you want to develop in art?
– In the past, I only dreamed of being one comedian famous. When people were more interested, I started learning to be an MC, taking extra classes to perform on stage or apply for roles in TV series or movies. I have been producing many of my own films for the past 7 years, but in the distant future, I also dream of producing films on a larger scale. Gradually, I also want to stand behind more in another position.
– After nearly 10 years of being known and loved by the audience, what does Trung Ruoi feel like he has achieved?
– I got a lot. Many times I still think I never thought I would have this day. I was born in a place that did not have many favorable conditions. My mother only dreamed of her son having a job to live. First, I am lucky to have a good wife, a lovely child, a house, a job, and a passion. Thanks to art, I also have good friends. My life is quite easy compared to before. Of course there are times when I get stressed because of art. At that time, I always thought about the good things that art brought to me to revive me.
