Palma da Mallorca – The suitcases have long since been packed, wedding dresses and lots of bottles of Rotkummel sparkling wine have been stowed away in containers. Shortly before retirement, “Wedding Dress Pope” and VOX star Uwe Herrmann (60, “Between Tulle and Tears”) will start again from scratch in Mallorca.
With baby Julius (7 months), heir to his son Philipp and his partner, who has become a grandfather, the whisperer of the bride and mother-in-law is drawn from Dresden to the island of longing of the Germans.

Uwe Herrmann: “I managed everything in my home country of Saxony and slowly things are getting a bit too grumpy for me in Germany. Thailand is the paradise of my dreams. But right now is the right time to conquer Mallorca, to get a big piece of the wedding cake there too.”
He thinks of the many couples who want to tie the knot on the island or are in the mood for trying on his breathtaking wedding dress creations and tuxedos when they are in the best holiday mood.

Emigrant Uwe Herrmann: “I’ve been running this business idea over and over again in my mind for years. Now I’m finally getting down to business.”
So it fits perfectly for his marketing that VOX for the docu-soap “Goodbye Germany! The Emigrants” was looking for a businessman who wanted to start a new business on Mallorca. He takes his ex-girlfriend and today’s chief assistant Winnie (39) to the island.

“It’s more stressful when TV cameras want to follow you to the toilet. But I’ve been used to that for many years. And if everything grows too much, my Winnie dabs the beads of sweat from my face,” laughs the clever designer Herrmann.
But he doesn’t set up the big project in Spain all by himself, but takes Anja on board, an expert who is experienced on the holiday island.

And what will become of the legendary “White Vault”, which at 3000 square meters is said to be the largest shopping mall for bridal and festive fashions in Dresden. Uwe: “Now my son Philipp and his staff have to prove themselves. If the rush gets too big, I’ll fly to you.”
His Mallorca adventure is available Monday, July 17, from 8:15 p.m. and July 24, from 10:15 p.m. on VOX.
