Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky within the framework of his visit to the USA. ermenihaber.am informs about this.
During the meeting with Macron, the parties discussed the relations between Turkey and France, the Russian-Ukrainian and Arab-Israeli conflict, regional and global issues. Among the issues discussed was the question of the regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
“In particular, the President of the Republic reiterated our support for the ongoing dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the aim of concluding a peace treaty as soon as possible, which can open a new page in the region,” said the office Macron in a statement.
Erdogan emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations in all areas, and also noted that he expects support to restore Turkey’s EU membership process.
The Turkish President also emphasized that “the encouragement of the Israeli ceasefire by Western countries will contribute to regional and global peace and it will be beneficial for France to take concrete steps at this time.”
During the meeting with Zelensky, the course of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, regional and global issues were discussed.
