TV Morfosis: they will hold an event on Artificial Intelligence in Cuba – 2024-04-22 15:31:10

The TV Morfosis project, belonging to the Association of Ibero-American Educational and Cultural Televisions (ATEI), will arrive in Cuba for the first time today, Tuesday, July 18, and tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19.

The main topic of the meeting will be “Artificial Intelligence and Audiovisual Industry. Opportunities and Challenges”, which will bring together directors of radio, television systems, universities and institutions from countries such as Nicaragua, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Spain, according to the state portal CubaSí.

Regarding TV Morfosis, this medium assures that it is “one of the best positioned television projects in the last ten years.”

Furthermore, it indicates that it is “a television and interactive format that brings together various international specialists to discuss media and communication technologies in two or more days, as panels.”

As part of the activities on the occasion of this meeting, workshops will be held by foreign experts who are in the Cuban capital, which will be moderated by Dr. Livia Reyes, Director of the Press Information Center.

Added to these workshops are a live television broadcast and a live online broadcast where Internet users will be able to interact with the panelists through social networks.

The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television ICRT has been part of the ATEI since last year, according to the note published by the state press.

This association is made up of more than 100 institutions such as public service television channels, ministries and organizations responsible for education and culture at the national, regional or local level of each country, universities or higher education institutions, foundations and permanent training centers and professional.

In previous years, TV Morfosis has taken place in countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Spain.

Among its topics it has contemplated issues such as “Convergence and scenarios for interactive television”; “Innovation in news in the new digital environment”; “Audiovisual audiences, consumers on the move”; New management models and digital consumption”; and “The new audiovisual narratives and the challenges in the market”; among other.

Finally, it was highlighted that the mission of the ATEI is “to contribute to the development of education, science and Ibero-American culture through the use of television and other information and communication technologies.”
