Alberto Angela with ‘Stanotte a Parigi’, broadcast on Rai1, conquered the Christmas prime time ratings with 3,239,000 viewers and a 21.2% share. Canale 5 with the ‘Christmas Concert in the Vatican – XXXI Edition’ obtained 1,651,000 viewers and 12.8%, while Rai2 with ‘Cruella’ placed third with 1,271,000 viewers and 7.5% of shares.
Just off the podium was Italia 1 which with ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ garnered 1,157,000 viewers and a 7.3% share, followed by Retequattro with ‘Hachiko – Your best friend’, seen by 788,000 viewers equal to 4, 5%, while Rai3 with ‘Life is wonderful’ recorded 620,000 viewers and 3.8%. On the Nine, ‘Anplagghed’ attracted 527,000 viewers with 4% and Tv8 with ‘Beata te’ totaled 310,000 with 1.9%. Finally, La7 with ‘Tut – The destiny of a Pharaoh’ involved 250,000 viewers and a 2.1% share.
In access prime time Rai1 with ‘Affari Tuoi’ scored 22.5% with 4,008,000 viewers, while Canale 5 with ‘Striscia la notizia’ garnered 2,968,000 equal to 16.6%. Rai1 also won in the early evening with ‘Chain Reaction – The Challenge of Champions’, which recorded 3,286,000 viewers and a 21.6% share compared to 14% and 2,081,000 viewers of ‘Free Fall!’ on Canale 5. In the morning the ‘Urbi et Orbi’ blessing of Pope Francis, live on Rai1, obtained 2,621,000 viewers and a 30% share.
