Twelve-year-old shoots in a Russian school

by time news

Four weeks after the rampage at a university in the Russian city of Perm in the Urals, a sixth grader shot at a school in the same region. Authorities said he fired two shots in the ceiling and a wall on Monday. Nobody was killed as a result. A student was slightly injured. The youth was therefore arrested.

The 300 students and 30 teachers could have left the building in the village of Sars on their own. The media wrote that the director had persuaded the armed twelve-year-old to give up. He is said to have secretly stolen the weapon from his father. The authorities initially did not provide any information about the background. One of the motives is bullying at school, reported the Interfax agency. Classes were canceled on Monday.

In the city of Perm, around 1,200 kilometers east of Moscow, just a month ago a law student shot around with a hunting rifle, killing six people and injuring around 20.
