Two memoranda of understanding between the centers for e-learning and mental health promotion

The National Center for E-Learning signed two joint memoranda of understanding with the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, with the aim of developing human capacities in the fields of mental health, in the presence of the Director General of the National Center for E-Learning, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Walidy, and the Director General of the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health, Dr. Abdul Hamid bin Abdullah Al Habib.

The first memorandum included the launch of the e-learning initiative to promote mental health through the national e-learning platform “FutureX”, through flexible educational paths, during which the learner undergoes intensive e-learning training for a period of 3 months in the platform system.

The initiative tracks include: dealing with stress, life skills training, recovery and mental health, psychological primary assistance, and mental health in the work environment.

The initiative also grants 1,000 educational opportunities that allow learners to learn in 25 diverse educational courses, offered by the best global leading educational platforms, with the aim of providing access to reliable e-education that contributes to the development of the individual’s basic skills and future skills, by linking providers and beneficiaries according to a governance that guarantees quality, equal opportunities and improving Learner experience.

Enhancing the mental health of employees of different sectors in the Kingdom

As for the second memorandum, it aims to provide a number of services provided by the National Center for E-Learning, including: qualification to obtain e-learning licenses in accordance with the standards of the center, and adding educational materials in the national program for open educational content to enhance and enrich reliable content, in addition to developing technologies for electronic platforms in e-learning. And cooperation in building initiatives aimed at enhancing the mental health of employees of the various sectors in the Kingdom.

Providing lifelong learning opportunities

The Director General of the Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Walidi, that the center aims, through these agreements, to enable the beneficiaries to access and make optimal use of the services provided by the center, with the aim of providing opportunities for lifelong learning, and promoting integration and the participatory economy in the sector.

He stressed that the center will work with the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health to create an innovative educational experience that enhances mental health, and enables benefiting from international experiences in the field of mental health promotion.

The Director General of the National Center for Mental Health Promotion, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Habib, the center was keen to build effective partnerships that contribute to achieving its strategic goals to enhance the mental health of the community, noting the importance of the partnership with the National Center for E-Learning, and its vital role in the e-educational process.
