The match at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium was dramatic

Kolkata: Chennaiyin FC thrashed East Bengal FC at home in a match that came with two red cards in the ISL. Chennai team won by a single goal. In the match, each player of both the teams was sent off after seeing a red card.

The match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata was dramatic. East Bengal played in a 4-4-2 formation and Chennaiyin in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The first half was goalless for 45 minutes as both teams struggled to score. But with a goal and red cards, the second half was full of drama. Vafa Hakhamaneshi gave Chennai the lead in the 69th minute. This is Wafa’s first ISL goal. Soon after, the player was sent off for a second yellow and red card for a bad celebration.
In the 74th minute, a player of East Bengal also received a red card. Sarthak Golui returned to the dressing room. With this, both teams finished the match with 10 players. Chennaiyin climbed to the fifth position with seven points from four games. Meanwhile, East Bengal FC is in tenth place with three points.
Tomorrow, the yellow army will be in action
Kerala Blasters will take to the field in ISL tomorrow. The opponents in Guwahati are North East United. The match will kick off at 7:30 PM. In the first match tomorrow, Odisha FC will face Hyderabad FC at 5.30 pm. Yellow Army has only one win in the season. Blasters will come out with three defeats in a row. The Blasters are ninth with three points from four matches and the North East, who have not opened their account, are bottom.
