The first hitchhiking festival, called Festop, will take place on September 28, according to our colleagues atActu.fr. Organized by two friends from Treize-Septiers in Vendée, this event is sponsored by their group ASQ Events (Auto Stop Quest Events). Their mission is to promote this unique practice and create shared moments.
The festivities will begin with training for 52 couples, who will leave the lake of La Chausselière. Each group will face amazing missions, thus encouraging discussions and stories.

Inspired by adventure games like “Beijing Express,” the festival aims to strengthen bonds between participants while providing a memorable experience. The race route will be a loop, the route of which will remain a secret until the last moment.
From 4 pm, the Festop festival will welcome around 500 participants. This event will create a musical and warm atmosphere, bringing together enthusiasts and curious people around an action that promotes unity. Festival goers will have the opportunity to share their stories related to hitchhiking, thus enhancing the spirit of the event, while celebrating the spirit of adventure of the Pays-de-la-Loire region.
