Bloemfontein: The U-19 World Cup will begin with Super Six matches today. Group A champions India will take on New Zealand in their first Super Six match today. New Zealand reached the Super Six as the second runners-up in Group D. The match will start at 1.30 PM IST at Mangaug Oval, Bloemfontein.
Team India led by Uday Sharan is in good form after winning all the three matches played in Group A. After defeating Bangladesh by 84 runs in the first match of the group stage, India will face Ireland and the US in the next matches. A was defeated by 201 runs. New Zealand have won two of three matches in Group D, losing to Pakistan in their last match. India also have a match against Nepal in Super Six.

In the preliminary round of the World Cup, the top three teams from groups A to D have made it to the Super Six. Super Six is divided into two groups of six teams each. The top two teams in the groups will qualify for the semi-finals.
Teams from Group A and D will be in one group in the Super Six. B and C in another group. Meanwhile, the champions of the two groups and those who were in their own teams in the preliminary round will not face each other. So even though India and Pakistan are in the same group in the Super Six, the two teams will not face each other. Pakistan are the champions of Group D.
