‘Pathan’ is a film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Directed by Siddharth Anand, this film is slated to hit the screens on 25th.
In the song ‘Pesharam Rang’ featured in it, Deepika danced attractively wearing a saffron colored swimsuit. BJP and Hindutva organizations strongly opposed this. They have said that they will not release the film if it is not removed.
In this case, the film was sent for censorship. Officials cut in 13 places. Some of the close-ups of the controversial song and Deepika’s ‘side pose’ scenes have been removed. But they didn’t mention anything about the saffron bikini.
