U19 international tournament of the Mohammed VI Football Academy: FC Copenhagen and Ajax Amsterdam in the final

FC Copenhagen validated its ticket to the final after its victory, Thursday in the semi-final, against the Mohammed VI Football Academy team with a score of 2 goals to 0.

For its part, Ajax Amsterdam qualified at the expense of Sevilla FC on penalties (4 to 1 tab, 0-0 regulation time).

Launched for the first time in 2017, the U19 International Tournament of the Mohammed VI Football Academy was initially intended for the U17 category and only included 8 teams.

Thanks to its success and the quality of the competition it offers, it evolved from its 3rd edition in 2019, to an international U19 tournament and now brings together 12 teams from the best football teams.

For its 6th edition, the tournament saw the participation of 12 teams representing 11 countries from 4 continents, namely the Mohammed VI Football Academy and FUS Rabat (Morocco), Liverpool FC (England), CR Flamengo (Brazil), Sevilla FC (Spain), Ajax Amsterdam (Netherlands), SC Braga (Portugal), Galatasaray SK (Turkey), RC Strasbourg (France), FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Académie Génération Foot (Senegal) and Aspire Academy (Qatar) .

The Mohammed VI Football Academy, which mobilized investments of around 140 million dirhams, was built and equipped according to the standards in force in world-class European training centers, with a view to ensuring young people Moroccans have the ideal conditions to benefit from high-quality training, allowing them to evolve within the biggest clubs in Morocco and Europe.
