UAE’s long-awaited space mission postponed

Dubai: UAE’s long-awaited space mission has been postponed due to some technical issues. The Falcon 9 rocket carrying the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft was scheduled to take off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida today at 10.45 am UAE time. But technical problems were reported with just 3 minutes to go. NASA tweeted that the new schedule will be announced later. UAE’s Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, NASA’s mission commander Stephen Bowen, pilot Warren Hoberg and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fed Yaev are on the 6-month mission. Dubai’s MBR Space Center said Thursday, Friday and Saturday are possible dates for the next launch.
