Will Israel’s road to Euro 2024 be shortened? According to reports in Europe, UEFA is considering suspending one of the team’s rivals in the preliminary stage, Belarus, from the factory. The reason for this is the Belarusians’ support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

UEFA sent a letter to more than a hundred members of the European Union, which stated, among other things: “UEFA’s position was to discuss the situation in Belarus for a long time.” The upcoming commission will meet on April 4 in Lisbon, Portugal, with Belarus potentially paying for it instead in the qualifiers.

The Belarusians are supposed to play already tomorrow (Saturday) against Switzerland, at the same time as the Israeli national team’s game against Kosovo. Now it remains to be seen whether they will hold two or more matches in the campaign, and also what the impact of those matches will be if and when the team is eventually suspended from the tournament.
