Uijeongbu City Promotes “Care for All” Project to Improve Citizens’ Lives
Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) is implementing the “Care for All” project to enhance the daily lives of its citizens. This comprehensive initiative consists of 11 projects across three key areas to foster a community where everyone takes care of each other.
Areas of Focus:
Uijeongbu-style care: This area promotes initiatives such as a care life site, playground, and family care activities for the most severely disabled.
Welfare design governance: This section focuses on establishing a social welfare center, museum, and school to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens.
* ZERO blind spot square project: This area aims to address social issues through projects like a human safety net program, water search team for middle-aged and older residents, and emergency support services.
Genuine Communication and Collaboration:
The city has actively engaged with citizens through their field market office, actively listening to their concerns and needs. This feedback is used to tailor welfare policies and ensure they address the real-life challenges faced by residents.
Supporting Families and the Most Severely Disabled:

Strengthening Social Support Infrastructure:

Building a Safety Net:
To address immediate crises, the city has launched the “SOS Emergency Niche Support” program. This initiative provides assistance with food, medical expenses, and utility bills for those facing financial hardship.
Mayor’s Vision:
Mayor Kim Dong-geun emphasized the importance of the “Care for All” project, stating that it will strengthen Uijeongbu’s welfare system and ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.
