In the Komi Republic, residents of the village of Trusovo, Ust-Tsilemsky District, will now be able to hand over plastic for recycling without leaving their village. This will be done by Ekaterina Arteeva. Her family received the status of poor this year. The woman was able to conclude a social contract and receive from the state 250 thousand rubles for a small enterprise for the collection and pressing of plastic.
Ekaterina Arteeva began collecting plastic a long time ago. As she says, she is ashamed to see how the forest is littered with waste.
“Therefore, we decided to first collect plastic waste, and then recycle it,” says Ekaterina Arteeva.
With the funds received under the social contract, the woman bought pressing equipment and rented a small room. In this she was helped by the enterprise where Catherine works. She has already drawn up a schedule when local residents will be able to hand over plastic – on Fridays and Saturdays. All kinds of bottles, containers, dishes, lids will be accepted. The woman plans to send the compressed waste to Syktyvkar for sale.
A social contract is an agreement that is concluded between a poor citizen and a social welfare center, for a period of three months to one year. Based on the results, the center undertakes to pay the resident of the republic an allowance, and he undertakes to carry out the activities that are provided for in his individual program of social adaptation. State social assistance on the basis of a contract will be provided in several directions: job search, organization of entrepreneurial activity or self-employment, development of personal subsidiary plots and others.

The amount of the contract is calculated depending on the direction. For example, if you want to get additional competencies, learn a new profession, the monthly payment will be about 15 thousand rubles. If the program participants want to engage in entrepreneurial activity or the organization of a peasant farm, then they will be able to claim a lump sum payment of up to 250 thousand rubles.
As the State Council of the Komi Republic commented to an RG correspondent, the main task of the family social contract is, first of all, to help overcome poverty.
