The University of Illinois Springfield women’s basketball team (3-6, 1-3 GLVC) will host Roosevelt university this Sunday, December 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at the TRAC. The Prairie Stars are coming off a challenging weekend,narrowly losing 68-66 to McKendree on Thursday and falling to Maryville 74-56 on saturday. This contest will be the first-ever meeting between UIS and Roosevelt in women’s basketball, as Roosevelt recently transitioned to NCAA Division II competition. Roosevelt (1-5, 0-2 GLIAC) is looking to rebound after a close 83-82 defeat against No. 17 Northern Michigan.
