Russia attacks Jerson
Russian forces have launched against the Ukrainian region of Kherson, in the southeast of the country, at least 20 attacks in the last 24 hours and some of them have caused damage to the capital of the same name, the city council reported on Monday.
The number of attacks on this region gives an idea of the increase in the Russian offensive on the country in recent days, which already suffered last Friday one of the largest missile attacks since the invasion began on February 24.
Kherson is divided into two zones separated by the mighty Nieper river, one of them taken by Russian troops, in the eastern zone, and the other recovered by the Ukrainians, but which receives Russian attacks almost daily.
“The Russian army attacked Kherson 20 times on February 12. One person was injured; the man was taken to hospital in serious condition,” the city council said, according to local agencies.
