Concerns Over Civilian Treatment and Potential for Further Dialog

Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman, accused Russian forces on Sunday of forcibly removing approximately 50 Ukrainian civilians from the Sumy border region to Russian territory. According to Lubinets, Russian forces detained residents in the village of Hrabovske on Thursday and transported them to Russia on Saturday. He has contacted Russia’s human rights commissioner, requesting details and demanding the civilians’ immediate return.
