The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadim Skibitsky, expressed alarming assumptions regarding potential *Russian aggression against the Baltic countries.
A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated this in an interview with The Economist.
According to him, the Russian Federation will be able to capture the Baltic states in just seven days. However, NATO will likely need ten days to fully respond to this invasion.
Skibitsky emphasized that Europe’s position regarding the war in Ukraine remains an unknown factor. He called on Ukraine’s neighboring countries to step up their defense production to support Kyiv and make it impossible for Russia to further advance westward.
Despite the elimination of the direct threat from Russian airborne forces and the Marine Corps, which Western countries fear, Ukraine remains in a constant state of struggle for its independence. Skibitsky assured that Ukraine will continue to resist, but the outcome of this fight depends not only on itself, but also on the actions of the international community.
It is worth emphasizing that in light of the alleged Russian threat to the Baltic countries, NATO continues to strengthen the defense of its eastern flank. In recent years, the alliance has taken significant steps to improve security in the region.
Previously, Kursor wrote about how the Russian army has changed over two years of war. According to the head of Ukrainian intelligence Budanov, war is always a crazy development.
