Recent Military Innovation: The Robotic Dog

A recent video surfaced ‌online ⁣showcasing the unusual and intriguing weapon employed by the 28th ⁣Separate Mechanized Brigade Kurt & Company – ⁢a robotic dog.⁢ ArmyTV spoke with the unit’s commander, Warrant⁢ Officer Kurt, who elaborated on this⁢ innovative technology.

“The primary goal is to save soldiers’ lives,” Kurt stated, explaining the rationale behind‍ this new weapon. “We explored various ‌options, and for now, a robotic dog seems⁤ like⁤ the ‌ideal solution.”

The robot must‌ fulfill certain crucial criteria: maximum weight, clear camera visibility, ⁢and a ⁤safe operating environment for the handler – often in underground or ‍out-of-reach locations.

While still under development for‌ the past ⁤year, the robot is currently 70% operational. Future refinements are expected to make it ⁣a‍ versatile tool for various‌ missions.

Potential applications of this robotic ⁢canine include:

⁣Surveillance
Infantry‌ support
Evacuation‍ of wounded
Delivery of supplies
* Kamikaze missions

Kurt emphasized the robot’s observational ⁢and engineering capabilities,‌ likening it ‌to a real dog but with advanced electronic functionalities. He declined to disclose further details, hinting at potential surprises for the enemy.

The unit commander also revealed plans to deploy an entire fleet of⁣ these robotic dogs to address current operational gaps. Currently, the brigade awaits⁤ the ⁣arrival of their entire batch.
