A successful fundraising event bolstered the UNC Asheville Baseball program, generating over $98,000 in support from alumni, donors, and friends. The annual Baseball Night, held Friday, January 16th, at Highland Brewing, showcased the strong community backing the Bulldogs as they prepare for the 2026 season.
Community Support Drives Bulldog Baseball Forward
The event, presented by Hayes Food Products, drew more than 200 attendees who participated in a lively atmosphere and a live auction. Auction items included a weekend getaway to Kiawah Island and passes to the prestigious Biltmore Championship on the PGA Tour, contributing significantly to the fundraising total.
“I’m incredibly grateful to our alumni, donors, and supporters for the overwhelming support shown at Baseball Night,” stated the team’s interim head coach. “The belief you have in our program means so much, and our team is excited to honor that support when we take the field this season.”
Recognizing Key Partners and Future Contributions
UNC Asheville acknowledged the contributions of several key partners in making the event a success. Special thanks were extended to Highland Brewing, the Twisted Laurel Restaurant Group, event emcee David Jandrew, and keynote speaker Colin Moran. The university also expressed gratitude to the numerous donors and contributors who provided auction items.
Fans wishing to further support the Bulldog Baseball program can still make donations through the Baseball Night event page. This continued support will be instrumental in the team’s preparations for the upcoming season.
