We are seeing that the awareness of mutual fund savings among Indians is increasing day by day and the amount saved through mutual funds is increasing every month. According to the report, the amount saved in the mutual fund system has increased to an unprecedented level in January last year.
13,856 crore investments have been reported through SIP in January 2023 alone. According to the Association of Mutual Funds of India, there are about 6.2 crore SIP accounts in India through which investors invest in Indian mutual funds.

It is noteworthy that this is the fourth month in a row that more than 13 thousand crores have been invested through SIP. Following is the amount invested through SIP since January 2022.

In 2023, investors invested in small, large and midcap funds due to market volatility. This has led to an increase in equity mutual fund inflows. And the latest figures from the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI) report that net investments in equity and equity-linked schemes rose by an astounding 71% to Rs 12,547 crore in December 2022 from Rs 7,303 crore.
Apart from SIP, as far as equity inflows are concerned, recent equity inflows of Rs. Over 12,000 crore is the highest investment seen in the last eight months. Experts say this is a significant increase and a sign of growing confidence among investors in the stock market.
Despite market volatility. It is amazing to see positive investments across all segments of the stock market including mid-caps, large-caps, small-caps, multi-caps, flexi-caps and all types of equity segments.
