After many months of rumors and expectations, this evening (Wednesday) the song “Unicorn” was revealed on a special channel here 11, with which Noa Kirel will appear as Israel’s representative in Eurovision 2023, which will be held this May in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
The song was written and composed by Doron Madeli, Mai Safdia, Yanon Yahel and Noa Kirel herself. Kirel will appear in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held on May 9, and will try to qualify for the final, which will be held on May 13.

The song, which deals with female empowerment, was revealed live from the music festival at the Dan Eilat Hotel, during a live performance by Kirel. The special broadcast was hosted by Maya Wertheimer, one of the stars of the new series of Kaan 11, “Destroying Angel”, which will be broadcast starting on March 26, 2023.
The first semi-final of the European poetry competition will be held on May 9 in Liverpool, and Israel has been drawn to participate in the first semi-final. The second semi-final will take place on May 11 and the grand final will be broadcast on May 13, 2023. The song “UNICORN” was created by Doron Medley, Mai Sepadia, Yanon Yahal and Noa Kirel, who will represent Israel in the competition.

Even before anyone outside of Cyril’s close circle heard the song, it had already managed to rank high in the betting charts for the European competition. It seems that the high rating Kirel received is related to several reasons, among others her international career and the songs in English she has already released regardless of the competition, her great success in Israel, along with the familiarity with the pop style of her songs that make her a leading candidate in the competition.
