New Delhi: Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will begin her official visit to the US from tomorrow (October 11). Tonight, he is going to the United States to attend the International Financial Commission and World Bank Annual Meetings, which will be held until the 16th. During his visit, he will hold talks with the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors at the International Financial Commission, World Bank Annual Meetings.

The Union Finance Minister participates in bilateral talks with countries like Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bhutan, New Zealand, Egypt, Germany, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Iran and Netherlands. The Union Finance Minister holds separate meetings with leaders of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the European Commission and the United Nations Development Programme. He has separate meetings with US Treasury Secretary Janet Allen and International Monetary Fund Chairman David Malpass.

The Union Finance Minister speaks on “India’s Economic Growth and India’s Role in the Global Economy” at the Brookings Institution, a non-profit organization in Washington DC. During his visit, the Union Finance Minister will address the School of International Higher Education at Johns Hopkins University on the links between technology, finance and governance.

Union Finance Minister participates in a roundtable meeting with the US-India Business Council and the US-India Military Strategic Alliance to address topics such as “Enriching Investment and Innovation in Indo-US Partnerships”, ‘Investing in India’s Digital Revolution’. The central government said that the main objective of these meetings of the Union Finance Minister is to highlight to the world that there is a good environment for investment in India.
