UAE Warns Syria Against Involvement in Israel-Hamas Conflict
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a warning to Syria, urging them not to get involved in the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas. The conflict escalated when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel last Saturday, resulting in the death of over 900 Israelis. The attack involved missiles, guns, and targeted concertgoers, leaving 260 people dead. Additionally, Hamas militants have been responsible for abductions and killings along the border areas.
In response to the attack, Israel declared war on Hamas and has initiated heavy attacks against the terrorist organization. The Israeli army’s operations have led to the death of more than 500 people in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that while Israel did not initiate the attack, they would respond with such force that future attacks on Israel would be deterred.
The UAE, which established diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020, condemned the Hamas attack. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing shock at the news of Israeli people being taken hostage from their homes, emphasizing that it would only worsen the situation.
In a significant development, the UAE has cautioned Syria against involvement in the conflict. A message has been conveyed to high-level Syrian leaders, and the UAE has shared this warning with the United States. Similarly, the US has also warned Iran not to engage in the war between Israel and Hamas.
Furthermore, the United States, along with Britain, Germany, France, and Italy, released a joint statement strongly condemning the Hamas militants’ attack. They labeled it as one of the most heinous attacks in recent times, targeting Israelis.

International condemnation of the attack by Hamas has been widespread, with the UAE and several Western nations urging Syria and Iran not to interfere in the conflict.
