This is the case in which the former president of the United States is accused of paying large sums of money to the porn actress Stormy Daniels and other models in order to prevent various extramarital relationships from coming to light that could have undermined his political ambitions in 2016.

Four legal cases

It was in the same court, in Manhattan, that Trump pleaded not guilty last year to 34 counts of falsifying business records. The scheme allegedly involved Trump’s former lawyer and confidant. Michael Cohen, who was the one who made the payments to the women under the label of legal advice.
