Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that 18.28 crore 6 thousand 514 taka has been earned since the launch of Metrorail till June last year.

Quader said that on December 28, 2022, the Uttara Uttara to Agargaon section of the metro rail and the section from Agargaon to Motijheel on November 4 last year were inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Now every day except Friday from 7:10 am to 8:40 pm Metrorail from Uttara North to Motijheel is running regularly as per scheduled commercial schedule. According to the final accounts of the financial year 2022-23 audited by the audit firm, the total income till June is 18 crore 28 lakh 6 thousand 514 rupees.

He said that construction work for extending MRT Line-6 ​​from Motijheel to Kamalapur by 1.16 km is progressing in full swing as per Prime Minister’s instructions. So far the overall progress of the work is 25 percent. Plans have been taken to launch this segment in June next year.
