Heavy Rainfall Expected in 22 Districts of Tamil Nadu Today: Meteorological Center
Chennai, Tamil Nadu – The Meteorological Center has predicted heavy rainfall in several districts of Tamil Nadu today due to an atmospheric downward circulation in Sri Lanka and the adjoining Kumari Sea region. The districts likely to be affected include Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Sivagangai, and Ramanathapuram.
According to the Meteorological Department, a total of 22 districts in Tamil Nadu are expected to receive rain till 7 am. This includes not only the coastal regions such as Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur districts but also the inland districts like Tiruvarur, Tanjore, Nagai, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Nellai, Kanyakumari, Vellore, Ranipet, Thiruvannamalai, Tirupattur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Ariyalur, Perambalur, and Pudukottai.
The Meteorological Department has also mentioned the possibility of light rain during these hours. The forecast indicates that these districts might experience a relief from the scorching heat as the rainfall provides some respite to the residents.
