Vescovi’s basketball journey began to take shape in February 2018 when, as a rising star with Bohemios, he joined the NBA Academy in Mexico. He trained alongside Martín Caorsi, Pablo Proto, Marcelo Capalbo, Pedro Xavier, and Diego Frugoni, with a particularly strong bond with Capalbo, whom he considers his greatest reference. “He played in my position and we have great chemistry in training,” Vescovi saeid.
His international career began with a bronze medal at the 2015 South American Championship in Encarnación, Paraguay, in the under-14 category. He captained the Uruguayan under-15 team in Asunción 2016 and competed in the under-17 South American Championship in Lima 2017. He debuted with the senior national team at the 2019 pan American Games in Lima, scoring 3 points, grabbing a rebound, and dishing out an assist in a loss to Argentina. He has since played 14 official matches for Uruguay, limited by his NCAA commitments.
