CowForeign Minister Amerkan Muttahida Qaumi Movement has called on the United States to release assets from Pakistan as it faces a severe financial crisis. He has written a letter to the US government in this regard.
As the Taliban regain power, the United States has frozen assets worth about 71 trillion rupees, owned by Afghanistan’s central bank. He pointed out in his letter that the treasury could not import essential items without funds and that government officials could not be paid for months.
“If this situation continues, there will be a situation where all the people will leave Afghanistan,” he said.
