USF Women’s Soccer Celebrates Six Academic All-District Selections

The University of South Florida women’s soccer program achieved significant academic recognition on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as the Collage Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its yearly Academic All-District Team. A remarkable six Bulls – Sophia Cabral, Brooke Fabri, Linnea Nestor, Ava Rightmire, Sadie Sider-Echenberg, and Yui suetsugu – earned the prestigious honor.

This year’s selections from USF highlight the program’s commitment to holistic student-athlete growth.

Individual Achievements Shine

Sophia Cabral secured her first CSC Academic All-District honor after a strong season that saw her appear in 18 matches, making seven starts. The midfielder contributed a crucial goal against Charlotte during the American Conference Tournament, logging a total of 616 minutes on the pitch.

Fellow first-time honoree,Brooke Fabri,proved instrumental in the Bulls’ midfield,starting all 15 matches she appeared in and accumulating 1,283 minutes. Her contributions were vital in transitioning play from defense to offense.

Linnea Nestor also earned her first selection, showcasing her offensive capabilities with 19 appearances and one start. She finished fourth on the team in scoring, tallying eight points through three goals and two assists, including a game-winning goal against Charlotte on October 19.

Defensive stalwart Ava Rightmire was recognized for her consistent performance, appearing in all 20 matches, starting 18. The defender logged 1,638 minutes and played a key role in the team’s remarkable seven clean sheets.

Sadie Sider-Echenberg distinguished herself as a two-time CSC academic All-District selection, adding to her accolades as a first-team American All-conference honoree. The forward led the Bulls with six goals, three of which proved to be match-winners, and finished the season with 13 points. She was also a member of the American Conference Preseason Watch List and received an American Conference Honorable Mention.

Rounding out the honorees,Yui Suetsugu earned her first Academic All-District selection alongside a second-team American All-Conference nod. The midfielder contributed with two assists and one goal – the game-winner against East Carolina on September 19 – while logging 1,501 minutes.
