USMA-RSB match: CAF rejects the appeal lodged by the Algerian club and confirms the decisions of the club commission (FRMF)
Rabat – The Appeal Jury of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) rejected the appeal lodged by USM Alger against the decision imposed on it by the Confederation’s club commission granting victory by forfeit to the RS Berkane in the semi-final first leg of the CAF Cup.
In a press release, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) indicates that it received on Friday a copy of the decision of the CAF Appeal Jury regarding the Appeal lodged by the Algerian club against the decision of the Clubs Commission which sanctioned it with a 3-0 forfeit in favor of RS Berkane, and decided to submit this case to the Confederation’s disciplinary jury for possible additional sanctions.
The Jury of Appeal thus confirmed the decisions of the CAF club committee, adopted unanimously by its nine members, granting victory to RS Berkane against USM Alger by 3 goals to zero during the semi-final first leg of the CAF Cup.
He also confirmed the club committee’s decision to submit the matter to the CAF Disciplinary Jury for possible additional sanctions.
