UZ Gent launches ‘Slikken or Prikken’ campaign to find young test subjects for medical tests

The new academic year is the ideal opportunity to call on students to participate in clinical research. “That could be for a study with a vaccine or one with drugs,” Leroux-Roels continues. “Students are ideal because they are usually young and healthy, they have a flexible schedule and can usually easily find time to get into research.”

Students are also good at keeping appointments. “And sometimes they bring friends if they have a positive experience,” explains Isabel Leroux-Roels.
