Friday: A Festivity of Virginia’s Artisans and Community
Friday’s events kick off with the Hecho en virginia Market, running from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 17th Street Market (100 N 17th St., Richmond). The market is free and open to the public, promising a vibrant showcase of Virginia’s creative talent. Performances are scheduled from artists including pusha T, ELONCE, SynHERgi, Holy River, and TeezySoDope.

Later Friday evening, Spanberger and her husband, incoming First Gentleman Adam spanberger, will host a Welcome Reception at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
Saturday: Ceremony, Parade, and Inaugural Ball
Saturday’s schedule begins with an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast at St. Paul’s episcopal Church. the breakfast, hosted by the Spanbergers, aims to unite Virginians of various faiths before the day’s formal proceedings. Participation is limited to invited guests.
The centerpiece of the weekend, the Inaugural Ceremony, will take place at noon on the South Portico of the Virginia State Capitol. During the ceremony, Spanberger, alongside Lt. governor-elect Ghazala Hashmi and Attorney General-elect Jay Jones, will be sworn into office. Instantly following the ceremony,an Inaugural Parade will proceed through Capitol Square in Richmond. Over 25 groups from across Virginia are expected to participate, offering a visual representation of the state’s diverse communities. Sunday: A Look Ahead with the First Family
Sunday’s events offer more intimate opportunities for engagement. The First Gentleman’s Breakfast, held at the Virginia Science Museum, will provide Adam Spanberger with a chance to connect with Virginians over pancakes. Tickets are required for this event.
Concluding the weekend’s festivities, an Open House will be held at the Virginia Executive Mansion from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The public is invited to tour the governor’s residence on a first-come, first-served basis, entering through the Capitol Square entrance.
