Vaccines should not be repeated after gaining immunity: Saudi

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia says there is no need to repeat vaccine doses once immunity is achieved. Assistant Undersecretary of the Preventive Health Sector at the Saudi Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Aziri made the announcement.

The Ministry of Health recommends that dosages be taken annually or every two or three years for certain groups with the potential for serious side effects.

Meanwhile, vaccinations for children between the ages of five and 11 were launched in Saudi Arabia yesterday. The Kovid vaccine is given to children as part of their efforts to protect them from the virus and its complications.
