The European Championship of U20 and U23 age weightlifters has ended in the city of Durres, Albania.
Varazdat Lalayan won the title of the European champion of weightlifters under 23 years old with the result of 440kg (200kg + 240kg).
At the European Championship in two age groups held in Durres, the national teams of Armenia won 15 medals in doubles.
In addition to Varazdat Lalayan, Gor Sahakyan (67 kg, U20), Milena Khachatryan (76 kg, U20), Liana Gyurjian (81 kg, U20), Suren Grigoryan (89 kg, U20), Garik Karapetyan won the title of European champion in doubles. (96 kg, M20) and Ara Aghanyan (96 kg, M23).
Emma Poghosyan (81 kg, U20), Petros Petrosyan (102 kg, U20), Julieta Avanesyan (+87 kg, U20) and Yasha Minasyan (109 kg, U23), and Rafik Minasyan (61 kg, U20) were awarded the title of European vice champion. , Mnatsakan Abrahamyan (81 kg, U20), Mary Tumasyan (87 kg, U20) and Luiza Sahradian (87 kg, U23) won a bronze medal.
Armenia was represented by 23 weightlifters in two age groups.
